mandieWhat’s happening at AYR?
Mandie recently attended the Global Summit on Women and Youth. This three day conference was held in Istanbul, Turkey with delegates from all around the world. They gathered to discuss the UN Pact for Women, as well as to discuss pressing issues for women and youth globally and how we can impact them for the future. She was able to share with several other organizations about what we are doing here in Ghana as well as to learn from their experiences.
The Lives We Touch
Abigail has Graduated! Abi has completed her 3 year dressmaking vocational apprenticeship! I cannot fully express the level of commitment this takes and how incredibly proud of her we are. This has been a whole family affair from Grandma who has taken on the caregiving of Abi’s daughter, to her new husband who has been so suportive. As part of our original agreement Abi now gets to keep the sewing machine we bought her to start her very own dressmaking shop.
